Peaceful country cottage surrounded by history. Overlooking the ruins of Lavauguyon Chateau and on the Route Coeur de Lion. There is a lovely large garden to relax in , with garden furniture and childrens toys provided. We offer a 4m overground pool to cool off on those hot summer days, located near to the shade of a beautiful lime tree. Indoors we have children's toys and games, a playstation, and lots of books, with a log burning stove for cool nights in. Lots of things to do locally to suit all ages. For children, there's Aventure Parc at Massignac, & the beach and lake at Plage de la Guerlie where there'S inflatables and water sports in the summer. For day trips put there's Futuroscope and La Vallée des Singes both about 1hr away. Nearer to home for history lovers, there are large chateaux at Rochechouart and La Rochefoucauld, and the Roman Baths at Chessenon. There is weekly Wednesday Market at Piégut, Thursday night markets in the summer at St Mathieu, and great places to eat.
